Summary

Chapter Three emphasizes Emily’s unique variety of symptoms in her Autism Spectrum Disorder, as Jeff and Douglass’ long talk about her care needs continues on the back porch. Douglass also learns that Emily’s physical disability is separate from the neurological condition and was caused by some kind of accident (the cause isn’t revealed until Chapter Eight.)
