In talking about gay peoples’ rights, a male friend of mine once made a head-bonking point: first of all, do some people think acceptance of homosexuals means they understand it, and therefore they don’t accept gays because they don’t understand homosexuality? Or do some people inflate a difference in sexual orientation to an unreasonable degree so that they are justified in suppression of gay rights?

I don’t know. To me, it all boils down to liberty for all.
