I’m sorry; I have my limits. I never want my character to be dubbed as disrespectful. But sometimes people say things that are just plain stupid, and I am about to burst from the need to express my reaction. And I am allowed to stray from my core value of universal respect once in a while, just as long as I have laid it out as a firm foundation of who I am first.

Someone told me today that he didn’t recycle because his apartment complex “won’t let” its residents do that. OMG! I didn’t even know how to respond at the time. But last I heard, it was a free country, AND every city has a recycling center where people can take stuff or get bins. So no, Damian, I should have said, you can’t put that responsibility–and blame–on the apartment complex.

Another friend of mine expects that the garbage man, or some hired guy, will open up the garbage bag and separate the recyclables from the trash. Actually, I think there are complexes or office buildings that do this, but they are few and far between, certainly not everywhere.
